House Fire on Butler Road

Just 2 hours into the New Year, Caroline dispatched Station 80 (Queen Anne-Hillsboro), Station 300 (Denton), Station 400 (Ridgely) and Paramedic 14 for a working house fire on Butler Road.

Chief 80 (C. Morgan) arrived on location to find a single story, wood framed structure with heavy fire showing. Tanker 86 laid a supply line and established the water supply while the crews from Engine 401 and Engine 302 made a quick knock on the blaze. The fire was contained to the kitchen area around the wood stove and the attic of the structure. Crews remained on the scene for approximately 2 ½ hours for overhaul. Officer 801 (C. Morgan) had command.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshall’s Office.

Units on scene: Chief 80, Rescue 84, Tanker 86, Engine 401, Engine 405, Tanker 406, Engine 302, Tanker 306, Paramedic 14 and Caroline Co. Sheriff’s Dept.
