Founded on the principles of service, dedication, and community involvement, the Denton Volunteer Fire Company has earned a reputation as one of the most respected volunteer fire organizations on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Historical accounts dating back to the early 1900s describe the department as one of the premier volunteer fire companies in Maryland, supported by a community that has always recognized the importance of a strong and capable fire service.

Today, our firefighters, rescue personnel, and support members continue that tradition by providing professional emergency services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Through ongoing training, modern apparatus, and a commitment to excellence, our volunteers stand ready to answer the call whenever help is needed. Whether responding to a fire, assisting at a motor vehicle collision, supporting a community event, or educating residents on fire safety, our mission remains the same: serving our neighbors when they need us most.
