On Thursday September 5th, DVFC was alerted for a working car fire on Shore Hwy. Engine 302 responded with a crew of 4. On arrival to the working car fire, which was located in the Wayside Bodyshop parking lot, Chief Dennis Porter (315) took command with a car 50% involved. Firefighter Cathcart and Firefighter Baer deployed the front bumper line quickly and put the fire out. 315 put the situation under control and E302 went in service a short time after.
