Nursing Home Fire

At 1943 hours on September 8, Company 300 was alerted for a structure fire in the 3-1 box at 420 Colonial Drive.   While responding with a crew of 5, E-302 was informed that Denton PD was on the scene with smoke showing in a Nursing Home facility.  E-302 arrived on side A and pulled a 400‘ 1-¾” line. Once inside, the crew found a room off and worked quickly to extinguish.  Chief 315 took command and the crews from E-304, R-300 and the Denton PD evacuated several patients from the wing that the fire was in.  Crews from Station 600 and 400 assisted in smoke removal.  Units worked for approximately one hour on the scene.
