Chicken House fire in Preston, Federalsburg

Early Sunday morning, Stations 200, 100, and 300 were alerted for a structure fire. Companies responded to 6288 Statum Rd in Preston for a Chicken house fire. Engine 302, Tower 310, and Tanker 306 responded from Denton. Chief 200 went on scene with smoke showing. Station 300 units were 3rd due. Engine 302 arrived on scene as the first suppression piece and stretched the 400' attack line off the rear. E-302's crew found a small fire in the wall and put a quick knock on it. Crews on scene helped with extensive overhaul and clean up.

Later that evening, Denton volunteers were alerted to 4042 Smithville Rd in Federalsburg for another chicken house fire. Station 100 and Tower 310's crews put a quick knock on a small fire they found and all units were put  in service after 30 min.
