It is with deep regret and sorrow the Officers and Members of the Denton Volunteer Fire Company announce the passing of Life Member Donna M. Fretterd.
Donna joined the fire company in 1969. She was one of the first female firefighters in our company and held Firefighter III/EMT-B certifications. Donna was active on the Ambulance Squad and Ladies Auxiliary. She served our company as a Secretary, Treasurer, President of the Ladies Auxiliary, and as a Company Delegate at the MD State Firemen's Convention. She was a member of the Hall of Fame for both the Eastern Shore and Delmarva Volunteer's Firemen's Association.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, November 8th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second Street in Denton with Fire Department honors. Friends may call from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday evening. The interment will be in the Bloomery UMC Cemetery in Smithville, MD.
