Fatal MVC, Shore Highway

At 1:04 PM Caroline dispatched Station 300 (Denton) and Station 200 (Preston – Dive Team) for an MVC with a vehicle overturned in the water in the 24000 block of Shore Highway. Units arrived on location to find one vehicle overturned in approximately 4 feet of water and both occupants had be extricated by an off duty police officer. Paramedic 391 and Paramedic 392 each transported one Priority 1 patient to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Aviation was down due to the inclement weather. The passenger of the vehicle later succumbed to her injuries.Our Thoughts and Prayers go out to the Family and Friends of all involved.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Maryland State Police.
