Crews Respond To Early Morning Gas Leak - 24000 block Meeting House Road

Crews were dispatched early this morning at 0623 hours for a reported Gas Leak in the 24000 block of Meeting House Road. As crews made a response Caroline Dispatch advised them this was a Liquid Propane Gas Leak from a tank. Engine 302 (3/DC Porter) arrived to find 1000 gallon LP tank leaking around a valve. Chief Porter assumed command and requested the box bringing Ridgely, Greensboro, and Queen Anne Hillsboro volunteers to help. Crews used an 1 3/4" handline to control the leak until service representatives could arrive. A tanker shuttle was set up for a water supply. Crews cleared at 0906.
