Cadet:
Age group between 16 years old and 18 years old. Members participate in various activities including emergency responses, fund raising, training, etc. Cadets may elect to participate through the High School Votech program and attend training while earning school credits. Our training is offered in conjunction with University of Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute.
Fire/EMS members:
Members above the age of 18 that can attend Basic Firefighting and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training to actively respond on 911 emergencies. Members are required to attend minimum training requirements, including operating emergency vehicles. Other duties include attending fundraisers, general department meetings, training, etc.
Associate:
The Associate membership allows members of the community to also “support” their community and the DFVC. These members are not required to respond on 911 emergencies, however still help out with our fund raisers, our general meetings, etc.
