Mutual Aid for the Working Commerical Building Fire

At 12:56 pm, Denton Volunteers were dispatched for the working commercial building fire at 32600 Main Street in the town of Queen Anne. Denton Volunteer Fire Company responded with Engine 302 on the 1st alarm and with Rescue 300 on the 2nd alarm. The engine company operated with the deck gun master stream and 3 attack lines at various times throughout the incident. DVFC operated on scene for about 3 hours before being released by command.

Engine Transfer to Easton

At 2:01 pm, Denton Volunteers were alerted to transfer an engine to Easton Volunteer Fire Company to standby while they operated on a 2nd alarm fire involving several tractor trailers. Engine 304 transferred to Station 60 and handled one emergency call while covering their district. The engine company ran a minor 3 car motor vehicle collision on WB Rt50 at Matthewstown Rd. Chief 60, Officer 603 had the Rt50 command and PM91 transported one patient with minor injuries.

First Due House Fire on North 6th Street

At 10:10 am, Denton Volunteers along with Greensboro Volunteer Fire Company, Ridgely Volunteer Fire Company, and Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to a working house fire in the area of North 6th St and Lincoln St. Engine 302 arrived on location to find a 2-story single family dwelling with fire showing from all four sides of the structure and from both floors. Officer 316 (Deputy Fire Chief) established command and Officer 315 (Fire Chief) assumed fire attack. An additional truck company was requested which brought Easton Volunteer Fire Company. Initial reports stated that there were possible people and a dog trapped inside. After further investigation and additional reports, the dwelling was unoccupied and under extensive renovations. Once the fire was extinguished and overhaul was completed, the scene was turned over to the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal to determine the cause of the fire. We would like to say thank you to all the personnel and agencies that assisted DVFC with this incident. Also a thank you to Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Company for providing a stand by crew at our station to handle any other emergencies in our district while we were committed to this fire. House Fire on Newton Road

At 2:22 pm, Denton Volunteers were dispatched on the 2nd Alarm to assist Preston Volunteer Fire Company with a working house fire on Newton Road. Engine 302 and Tanker 300 made the response while additional personnel stood by at the station.
